Fine Arts Fiesta Haiku Peace Wall

Haiku Wall at 68th Fine Arts Fiesta 2024, Peace of Art

A Haiku has three lines, five syllables in the first, and seven syllables in the second line.

I was asked to do a backdrop for the Haiku Wall at the 68th Fine Arts Fiesta 2024, Peace of Art. Individuals of all ages wrote a Haiku on site and posted it. The only requirementwas that it fits into the traditional rules of Haiku, be of appropriate language, subject matter and on astandard sized 3” X 5” white index card. Signature of the author was not required but encouraged. The 'wall' will return to next years FAF - with the haikus preserved in a time box to open when we all are long gone....

New Pieces at Artefekts Gallery in Pittston

I recently dropped off new abstact paintings at Artefekts Gallery in Pittston.

These pieces are about energy and vibration - the wrapped stick brings in an element of nature. I believe certain mark making comes from a subconscious place much like some sounds and thoughts.

A Week at the Severn School in Maryland

I was asked by artist Skip Sensbach to work with the kids at the Severn School to transform this communal area outside the ceramic and painting studio to something aesthetically pleasing.
