Leigh Accepted into Philadelphia Mural Art Program |

The city of Philadelphia is know internationally for its murals. The murals have had a tremendously positive impact on the physical and mental state for the communities where the programs are implemented. Out of this program, a
teaching component of the mural art program was born. Because the city has produced such a large volume of murals, they have innovated the production of murals with a technique that allows the murals to be create indoors with a group on large parachute cloth and then to be installed on-site at a later date. The program attracts individuals from around the globe that want to develop mural programs in their communites. Leigh hopes to learn the technique to further develop an mural art program for the City of Wilkes-Barre.
The Mural Art Program is a six week course that will be complete in the spring, a great time of renewal to put the new knowledge to good use!
